Amazon Alexa has recently introduced new ways to create “Voice+” Experiences. With the Alexa Presentation Language a new markup has been introduced that gives skill developers almost unlimited freedom in designing display templates for Echo Show, Echo Spot, FireTV and FireTV Cube. In Meetup #14, Tim Kahle will be a speaker on Alexa Presentation Language (APL) and will give an overview of the new features and best practices.
The Meetup will serve to network the Voice User Interface & Bot scene in the Cologne area, which is being developed around assistants such as Alexa, Google Home, Bot Frameworks, Lex, Cortana, etc.. We want to exchange experiences and strategies in designing and programming voice- and text-based, natural language user interfaces. Contributions from an application perspective are just as welcome as contributions from research and development, but also suggestions from related disciplines, such as dramaturgy, radio drama and dialogue development.
